MaxCourage Essay Judging Day Non Sibi Project
with Blakeman Hazzard Allen '66

Join us in volunteering as a MAXCourage judge for the 35th Annual Essay Judging Day on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Northeastern University's Alumni Center. Volunteers may choose between a morning session (9:30 a.m.–noon) or an afternoon session (12:30–3:30 p.m.), with lunch available between sessions.

Andover judging participants will collaborate as a team on judging day and will undertake the task of reading true stories of courage written by students from around the globe. Volunteers are encouraged to share their perspectives and assist in selecting which essays will be published in the Annual Anthology of Student Writing. Essays will be provided upon arrival. The process entails reviewing, deliberating, and selecting essays for publication. However, all student essayists are honored.
